Subject lines to get your nonprofit email read

Because if you can’t get them to open it, it doesn’t matter how perfectly crafted your email is and how inspiring or engaging it might be. Pretty much everyone you know is overwhelmed by their inbox. Every brand & company we’ve ever interacted with is competing for our time, attention, and money. We’re not going to open every promotional message we get but we’ll probably open some, the ones that grab our attention.

Here are a couple of my favorites that should boost your open rate! You’ll notice they all sound personal & slightly informal, that’s not a coincidence.

  • Look what you did 

  • Can I get your eyes on this real quick? 

Spend a couple of extra minutes on your subject lines, your open rate will thank you!
