Why are they hesitating to get involved or give to your nonprofit?

Your cause is great, your impact is even greater but there are still a heck of a lot of people on the fence. They know you exist, they might even follow you on social media but they aren’t taking that next step. People have doubts & objections about your cause or the way you operate whether they voice them out loud or not. So what do you do?

Own your elephant. Yes you have one even if you ignore it.
EVERY nonprofit has an elephant in the room and if you don’t address it you're stunting your growth. Here are two examples of elephants.

1️. Doesn’t (another organization in your niche) do that?

2️. It seems like you want a lot of money for (in my eyes) this small issue?

These are pretty general, your elephant might be very specific. If you don’t openly talk about the objections and doubts your audience has on their mind, they’re not going to forget about it.

Own it. In your conversations, in your website copy, in your marketing, address it.

What insight and perspective can you give to help your audience overcome their objections and take the action you want them to take?

Practice here if you’re feeling brave, what’s your elephant
